Range Registry Ammo Price Report
A monthly report on what ammunition cost per round at online retailers: the lowest in-stock price and the typical price for each caliber, built from our daily snapshots, with the daily numbers as a CSV. Each issue is published after the month ends. See the methodology and the data collection notes.
First report: early November 2026
The first issue covers October 2026 and is published in early November, once that month's data is complete. No figures from it are available yet, and nothing on this page before then is a report value.
Until then, the live price tracker shows today's lowest and typical price per round for each caliber, and the daily history is in the open data files.
When an issue is published
An issue appears only when both conditions hold:
- The month has ended (Central time).
- At least 3 calibers have a daily price on at least 80% of the month's days. A caliber below that share is left out of that issue, never filled in.
What is in an issue
- Lowest in-stock price per round for the month, and the day it happened.
- Typical price per round: the median of the daily medians across all in-stock listings.
- How the typical price moved from the first to the last day of the month.
- A CSV of every daily lowest and median price per caliber, licensed CC BY 4.0.
